He specializes in American History, including the Underground Railroad, Civil Rights, the Black Power Movement, Black Leadership, and Black Intellectual History.
	Dr. John Karefah Marah Professor 112 Brown Building Tel: (585) 395-5571 jmarah@brockport.edu Dr. Marah holds an EdD from Syracuse University. He specializes in African Politics and Society, Orature, African and African American Literatures, and Pan-Africanism.
	Dr. F. Nwabueze Okoye Professor 117 Brown Building Tel: (585)395-5574 fokoye@brockport.edu Dr. Okoye holds a PhD from UCLA. He specializes in African and African American History, including Precolonial and Colonial History, Black-White Relationships, and Institutional Racism.
	Dr. J. Roger Kurtz Professor of English and Interim Chair of AAS 114 Brown Building Tel: (585)395-2474 rkurtz@brockport.edu Dr. Kurtz holds a PhD from the University of Iowa. He specializes in East African Literatures.
