Fast Facts for Undergraduates
Founded in 1867, SUNY Brockport is a selective, state-supported, four-year
comprehensive college with programs blending the liberal arts with professional
studies. The College offers 42 undergraduate programs, 28 graduate programs
and 18 areas of teacher certification.
Our 464-acre campus has 66 buildings occupying about one-quarter of
the campus with rolling grassy fields and wooded land.
Student Profile:
6,962 undergraduate and 1,780 graduate students, with 10 percent
of members of underrepresented minority groups.

Brockport, NY, is
a small college town of 9,700 residents located on the historic Erie
Canal, 16 miles west of Rochester and 45 miles east of Buffalo.

Faculty:
586 faculty, with 91 percent holding the highest degree in their field;
21 are Distinguished Faculty Professors, the highest faculty ranking
in SUNY; 72 have received the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching
and 13 are Fulbright Award recipients.
Residential Life:
Approximately 80 percent of the freshman class chooses to live on campus
in a variety of living options including a Scholars Floors and Substance-free
Floors. The Residential Life staff works diligently
to make our 11 residence halls true learning communities.
Athletics:
SUNY Brockport is an NCAA Division III school with 24 varsity
sports that compete on- and off-campus from September to May.
Admissions:
The undergraduate admissions office uses a rolling admissions process
and recommends that applications be received by March 1 for the fall
semester and November 1 for the spring semester.
