We know that not all important lessons take place in the classroom. Leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, the courage to try new things – these are all part of building character and interpersonal skills. That’s why you’ll find many opportunities to join, lead, participate and excel at Brockport.
The College at Brockport has more than 100 clubs and organizations for students to join. Clubs run the gamut from academically oriented to community service based to general interest groups and are open to all Brockport students. Besides just being fun, clubs and organizations are a great way to learn outside the classroom and gain valuable leadership experience, which will be beneficial to you later in life!
The College at Brockport has 23 intercollegiate athletic teams competing at the Division III level. The Golden Eagles have won more than 70 SUNY Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championships in 14 different sports and have advanced to NCAA tournament competition more than 50 times.

Brockport offers a variety of student-organized club sports, including rugby, fencing, ice hockey and martial arts. These club sports are available to students regardless of previous skill or experience level and operate under the guidance of Recreational Services.
Intramural sports are offered in a variety of team, individual and even doubles sports, including ice hockey, broomball, flag football, dodgeball and raquetball. Intramural sports are open to all Brockport students, faculty and staff.
