Class Year: Senior

Major: Recreation & Leisure

Minor: Communications

Hometown: Jamesville, NY   (Onondaga County)

On-campus involvement: Peer Mentor, Rho Phi Lambda, Undergraduate Admissions Student Ambassador, Conference and Events Office student employee, Student Union Advisory Board, National Honors Society of Collegiate Scholars, Green/Gold Leadership Programs

Interesting fact: I've been playing the piano for 15 years.

Most unique Brockport experience: When I met Sean Stephenson at the Brockport Leadership Conference. His story was fascinating, and I learned a lot about myself.

Favorite thing about Brockport: My favorite thing about Brockport is the home-like atmosphere that I live in on campus, as well as the small college town that we are a part of.

Favorite place to study: My own room. I like the ability to listen to music and study in a comfortable place where I have everything I need. Some people love to study in the library or various other areas on campus, but I just can't function in those places!

Favorite campus-sponsored event: The fall and spring concerts!

One class that every student should take before graduating from Brockport: Irish Step Dancing! It was a really great experience and fulfills a general education requirement.

5 most important things a freshman should bring to campus:

  • a cozy blanket
  • a planner
  • a fan
  • lots of pictures
  • an open mind

Favorite off-campus place: The Brockport Diner! They have really great food and the prices are completely reasonable. Plus, they serve breakfast all day! It is a great place to go on the weekends if you aren't really in the mood for dining hall food.

Dream job: I would love to own my own Wedding Planning business.

Favorite quote: "She flies with her own wings"

Why did you want to become a Student Ambassador?: This is my fourth semester overall, and third as the Student Director. My experiences with high school students has been a lot of fun and very rewarding.
