Interesting fact: I play the ukulele and salsa dance.
Favorite thing about Brockport: All the opportunities. Faculty and staff know and care about you; internships are easy to find and easily acessible with Rochester near by; over 100 clubs/organizations allow you to pursue any interests, make friends and get involved; not to mention we have the best Study Abroad program in the whole SUNY system. You can pursue anything you want at Brockport, and everyone here will help you succeed!
Favorite place to study: Outside at tables in the grass, but also at the library or the study room on my floor.
Favorite campus-sponsored event: All concerts!
Favorite off-campus location/thing to do: The "retro" movie theater in town is great and offers $1 movies to students on Friday nights. Also, everyone should try a garbage plate from Jimmy Z's!
Favorite food on campus: Buffalo Mac & Cheese, Gyros
Favorite way to stay active on campus: Going to the state-of-the-art fitness facilty -- the SERC -- and taking workout classes such as bootcamp and Zumba. Also, I love running along the canal when it's nice out.
One class that every student should take before graduating from Brockport: Intro to Dance or Improv Theatre
5 most important things a freshman should bring to campus:
Dream job: My dream job would involve traveling the world to educate the less fortunate, fight to end mutilation in countries such as Zimbabwe, and provide clean drinking water, etc. through fundraising. In this perfect world, I wouldn't need to make an income.
What do you like most about being a Tour Guide?: Being able to talk and brag about my school while meeting new people.
