School & Transfer Counselor ResourcesScholarship InformationNot only is SUNY Brockport an intellectual community that is committed to student success, we believe in rewarding excellent students for their academic achievements. Five groups of scholarships: Extraordinary Academic Scholarships - These are automatically awarded by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions based on academic achievements. Students are notified of their award (if qualified) at the time of their acceptance. No separate application is required. However, the student's SUNY application must be postmarked by March 1. Please visit our Eligibility Table to see if your student qualifies. The College at Brockport College-Wide Scholarships - Freshmen may apply for scholarships and awards based on high school average and standardized test scores. Usually, those freshmen with high school averages of 88 or higher and with SAT scores of at least 1100 or an ACT composite score of at least 24 qualify to be considered for awards. Transfer students with a grade point average of 3.25 or higher will be considered for scholarships and awards. These scholarships require a separate scholarship application provided by the Scholarship Office. The Student Awards Committee will select and notify the recipients of
College-wide scholarships and awards. These scholarships are awarded starting
in March. Because of the large number of applications received, only students
who are awarded a scholarship will be notified. The College at Brockport Departmental Scholarships - To view a complete list of our Departmental Scholarships and research the application process for each, please feel free to visit the Scholarships and Awards page of our Web site. Other Scholarship Opportunities - Require the scholarship application provided by the Scholarship Office. Other Sources of Aid - Additional scholarship opportunities are available from private sources, including employers, associations, corporations or other groups. Perhaps the most effective means to obtain additional information on scholarship opportunities is over the World Wide Web. The College at Brockport Scholarship Office has a wide variety of resources available to help students and the community locate grants and scholarships. Please contact the Scholarship Office at (585) 395-5414 for more information. International students may be awarded scholarships on a case-by-case basis.
