Announcement regarding The College at Brockport’s Physical Education re-admit applications
We are no longer accepting Physical Education re-admit applications for fall 2008.  Applicants who have applied for fall 2008 for Physical Education and whose file is incomplete have until Friday, April 18, 2008 at 9:30 am to complete their application to be considered for fall.  We will begin to review spring 2009 applications in August.

Thank you for your interest in applying for readmission to SUNY College at Brockport. We are delighted that you have decided to continue course work to complete your baccalaureate degree. As you continue this process, I hope you will remember that SUNY Brockport has as its highest priority the success of its students. We value the range of experiences our students bring both to the classroom and the College community as a whole.

Formerly matriculated students who have separated from the college, either through graduation, academic dismissal or for whom a leave of absence has expired re-enter the College through the readmission process if they want to be matriculated.

Applying
To be considered for readmission to SUNY Brockport, students need to submit the readmission application available from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions after speaking with an admissions advisor. Readmit applicants must also submit official transcripts from any Colleges/University the student attended while separated from SUNY Brockport. All applicants are required to pay a $40 application fee. Students seeking readmission should file the request for readmission no later than four weeks before the start of classes for the term in which they plan to return. You can check the status of your application by clicking here.

A personal statement, resume', or student biography is recommended for submission. Applicants who were academically dismissed are required to write a statement (see below).

Readmission decisions
Readmitted students are matriculated under the current catalog and are required to meet degree and program requirements at the time of readmission. Also, the Business Department has enacted a policy that courses completed more than 10 years prior to matriculation cannot be used to satisfy business degree requirements and must be repeated.

Readmission after Academic Dismissal
Students who have been academically dismissed from SUNY Brockport may apply for readmission to the College at least two academic semesters following their dismissal. Students are strongly encouraged to take at least two transferable courses at another college receiving a "C" or better prior to readmission.

Applicants must submit a personal statement addressing:
· What they have been doing since leaving SUNY Brockport
· Previous academic experience while at SUNY Brockport
· Factors that led to their dismissal
· Changes made to ensure their success if offered readmission

Students can only be readmitted once following an academic dismissal.
