What is your most memorable experience at Brockport?
My most memorable experience at Brockport was Saturday of Service. I had the chance to meet great people and help the community, all while having fun. It was a great way to kick-off the school year and plan to continue with my community service.
Why did you choose Brockport?
I chose Brockport because, while searching for a college, I made a checklist. My future college had to be small, not in the city, diverse, have a great psychology program, a reasonable student-to-professor ratio, and be affordable. Brockport was basically my dream school because it met all of my criteria. I am glad I chose Brockport, and also ecstatic Brockport chose me.
What is your favorite thing about Brockport?
My favorite thing about Brockport is definitely the food! We are ranked among the top of all SUNY schools. GO GOLDEN EAGLES!
What is your favorite class/professor at Brockport?
My favorite class was Psychology 110, Introduction to Psychology. My favorite professor is Dr. Melissa Brown.
What should a future student never leave at home for college?
Never leave your LAPTOP! Your laptop will become your best friend when the snow is too high to walk to Dailey or the Library.
What advice would you give to incoming students?
I would advise all incoming students to never forget who they are. I understand it is exciting to get out of your parents' house, and for many of us, it is our first time being on our own. Everyone wants to experience the “college life,” but it easy to do so without losing your morals. Always be true to yourself!
