Who We Are

Approved by the New York State Education Department, Arts for Children is an academic major that satisfies pre-professional requirements leading to Childhood (Grade 1 – Grade 6) teacher certification as a classroom teacher. Students entering classroom teacher certification programs must apply and be accepted into the education program through the Department of Education and Human Development. The teacher certification program is accredited through NCATE, the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
