John Koerner '04
John Koerner is the author of The Mysteries of Father Baker (Western New York Wares, 2005, www.buffalobooks.com), Supernatural Power (Authorhouse, 2007, www.authorhouse.com), and The Father Baker Code (Western New York Wares, 2009), and a co-author of Haunted Rochester (History Press, 2008). He has an MA in American History from the State University of New York, College at Brockport, where he was an award winning graduate student writer. Koerner graduated summa cum laude from the Honors Program with a BA in Communication/Journalism from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York. His writing has appeared in the Hamburg Sun, the Springville Journal, and the Next Step Magazine.
Born in Buffalo, New York, Koerner is also an accomplished historical tour guide. He has worked as an instructional guide for Rochester’s Neighborhood of the Arts, Roam Buffalo, and as a founding member of Haunted History Ghost Walks, Western New York’s leading paranormal research organization. Together with his wife, Tammy, he was also the co-director, and co-founder of Buffalo Literary Walking Tours. Koerner is also a Social Sciences professor at Niagara County Community College, Genesee Community College, and Erie Community College.
What you are doing now: I am a social sciences college professor and an author of four books: The Mysteries of Father Baker, Supernatural Power, The Father Baker Code, and Haunted Rochester.
