Cynthia S. LaFave '78
Cynthia S. LaFave '78 has been an advocate for the injured since commencing practice in her own firm in 1984. Since that time she has achieved many verdicts and settlements over a million dollars. Her practice is limited to the representation of the seriously injured and she specializes in general negligence, medical negligence and products liability.
Cynthia has continually spoken to multiple groups on a continuing basis. The numbers of events that she has spoken at make it impossible to list all of the engagements. She has continually given back to others in her practice and one of the ways she does this is through teaching other lawyers in continuing legal education programs.
Cynthia has been the source of newspaper articles in the local Albany area newspapers including the Times Union, The Schenectady Gazzette and the Saratogian. She has been cited in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, The National Law Journal, The New York Law Journal and numerous other publications. She was a continuing guest on WGY radio in the Capital Region throughout the early 1980's. She appeared on Eye to Eye with Connie Chung in 1993. She has appeared on all the Capital Region television stations on many occasions.
