Cal Peterson '58 enjoyed his teaching/administrative career and now permanently resides in Arizona with his wife, Beth.

1970s

Richard W. Cook '72 has been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America for 2011.  Mr. Cook is a partner at the Firm of Hancock & Estabrook, LLP and concentrates his practice in corporate and banking law.  He has also served as Managing Partner of the Firm. 

Jim Dennis '75 recently moved his research laboratory from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, where he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics to the Benaroya Research Institute in Seattle, WA where he holds a position as Research Associate Member.   His laboratory conducts NIH-funded research on the tissue engineering of bone and cartilage for joint replacement and reconstruction of severely damaged tracheas.  Dennis is also a founder of a biotech company called Cell Targeting, Inc., which develops cell coatings to direct stem cells to sites of repair in the body.

Gene Mastin '76 coached the Hornell High School football team to the New York State Class B Championship in Syracuse in November.

William J. Ryan '79 is now the VP of Education and serving as the Chief Education Officer of Almost Family in Louisville, KY focused on continuing our Senior Advocacy Programs, as well as developing other industry-leading educational programs.

 

1980s

Kevin M. Bernstein '82 an attorney at Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC was named to The Best Lawyers in America 2011 ("Best Lawyers") in Energy and Environmental Law.

Rev. John Tuff '86 is starting a counseling office through the Charis Center which is now located at the Boca Grande United Methodist Church.

Mark Aesch '88 had his book released, Driving Excellence Transform Your Organization's Culture and Achieve Revolutionary Results.

Robert Friedman '89 (second from right in photo) is a football official who worked his first NCAA Division III playoff game on November 20 at Alfred University.

Shaun Groden '89 was appointed Greene County's new administrator.

 

1990s

Lynne Erdle '94 is the 2010 recipient of the Athena Award presented by the Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce and the Professional Women of the Finger Lakes.  The Athena awards recognize leadership, advocacy and collaboration with others.

Jane Elwood Lebak '95 had her novella ebook, The Boys Upstairs published December 1st, by MuseItUp Publishing.  It is available at http://tinyurl.com/jlebak for $4.50.

David Gentner '96 has been appointed The Wartburg Adult Care Community's 10th President and Chief Executive Officer.

Robin L. Felong '97 a Physical Education teacher at Port Towns E.S. reaches teaching's top milestone by achieving National Board Certification in 2010.

Barbara L. Donaldson '98 Communications Specialist for the U.S. Government Account at Hewlett-Packard, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in communications management.

Joe Montesano '99 coached the Rush-Henrietta High School football team to the New York State Class AA Championship in Syracuse in November.

2000s

Brian LePore '03 oversees the development, strategy, and goals as the lead developer for SiteBrandBuilder, headquartered in Rochester, NY.  The company provides web-based and online marketing solutions across a range of industry sectors.

Kate Sarata '03 was named to the 2010 Buffalo Business First 40 Under Forty list, recognized for her record of professional success and community involvement.

Tara Tripodi '06 is engaged to Steven Gleicher.   The couple live and work in the New York City metro-area.   A Jewish wedding is planned for 2011.

Dan Kaye '08 is moving to Bristol, CT in two weeks to be an ESPN'er.

Emily Lottes '08 graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University in June 2010.  She currently works as a Resident Director at the University of Pittsburgh. 

Alex Hinckley '09 has been hired as a reporter at WROC/WUHF Rochester.

Marriages

Michael Thomas Blum '94 and Martha Jean Lewis were married on October 9, 2010.

Andrea Essrow '06 and Kyle Shrauger '07 were married on October 24, 2010.
 

Births

Rob Marchiony '91 and Laurie Marchiony welcomed a son, Michael Edward, on May 25, 2010 to join Emma, 6, and Thomas, 3.

David Cohen '96 welcomed a son, Carson David on November 22 at 2:57 pm, 7 lbs 10 oz, 20 inches long.

Erin M. Barfield Reece '95 and Jay Reece welcome their first child, a boy, on September 11, 2010.

Elizabeth (Jerome) Standish '00 and Adam Standish '98/'00 welcomed a daughter, Addison Rae, on September 29, 2010.  Addison joins big brother Mason Robert, 2.
