June Range Rusho '45 continues to spend her winter months in Palm Beach, FL, and summers at Baywinds independent living apartments in Webster with her significant other, Ken Ward.

Mary Jean Howe '47 is doing very well at almost 86 continuing to live independently in the home she and her late husband lived in.


1950s

Sal and Ginny Catalino '53 have seen their daughter, Candida Catalino '80, and granddaughter, Regina Catalino '10, graduate from Brockport.

Glen McGinnis '56 just completed 53 years of coaching, well over 100 seasons, at Cornwall Central High School.

1960s

Rich Brauss '62 just returned from his golfing dream, playing 23 golf courses in 13 days in Scotland.  Brauss is still coaching girls varsity soccer at Belgrade High School in Montana.

Craig Gilbert '69 recently retired from coaching soccer at Tamarac High School.  His final record of 478 wins, 76 losses and 38 ties established him as New York State's most successful girls soccer coach in terms of winning percentage.

1970s

Rosemarie Ruck '75 is the President of the Orleans County Adult Learning Services (OCALS).

Joy Saldinger Goldberg '77 is currently the Deputy Director, Personnel Security at the IRS.

Dr. Michele Sweeney '76 was named Associate Director of Salem State's School of Arts & Sciences.

Roger Crosley '78 will be inducted into the 2010 Class of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Hall of Fame.  Roger is one of five inductees that will be enshrined on Tuesday, July 6, during the 2010 CoSIDA Hall of Fame Gala at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis in San Francisco, CA.

Rodger Friedman '78 is celebrating his 30th year with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.
Rodger is a First Vice President - Wealth Management and Senior Investment Management Consultant in the firm's Washington, DC, branch office.

1980s

Shows Leary '81 is owner of SL Project Management in Grafton NY, and was awarded a contract by the North Colonie Central School District.  Leary will be the District's Project Manager for the district-wide Capital Fund and EXCEL Grant renovation projects. Ten buildings district-wide will receive renovation work.

Denise Armstrong Rose '83 was selected as a Face of Social Work honoree in recognition of "Social Work Month" for March 2010 by the National Association of Social Workers Connecticut branch.

Roberta Lockhart '88 was named as the new principal of Dysart High School in Surprise, AZ, in July 2009.  Lockhart was recently named Administrator Hero for 2010 for the Dysart District.

1990s

Scott Sampson '93 recently moved into a new position as Business Systems Analyst/Tester at The Vanguard Group in Valley Forge, PA. 

Scott C. Fike '95 has been appointed principal at DeSales Catholic School in Lockport, NY.

Jeffrey D. Myers '96 has been promoted to be the Commissioner of Recreation and Parks for the Town of Perinton.

Dr. Mirlene Dere '97 is the author of Bittersweet, a silky saga sure to leave a good taste in your mouth. Bittersweet is well on its way to being on the New York Times Best Selling List and is available at http://www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore/book.php?w=978-1-61663-362-2, Amazon.com, Boarders and in bookstores. Please be on the lookout for her next novel, Journey, due out sometime in 2011.

2000s

Jody Hares '03 was awarded the 2009 YMCA Director of the Year for the YMCA Buffalo Niagara Association.  This award is given to the director who demonstrates outstanding leadership in their YMCA branch.   

Captain Christopher Ioset '05 is at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.  Ioset is in class with another Brockport graduate, Neil Carman '04.  The two, part of a class of 25 training as Homeland security specialists, were in ROTC and studied Criminal Justice.

Marriages

Lori Dennison '01 and Michael Murphy were married on May 22, 2010.
Jared Cohen '07 and Pamela DePuyt '07 were married on January 2, 2010

Births

Kelly Bennett Vancelette '96 and husband, Tim, celebrated the birth of their daughter, Holly Rowan, on May 7, 2010.  She joins sister Abby, age 6, brother Alexander, age 6, and sister Kylie, age 3.

Peter Apps '06 and Shawna (Pike) Apps '06, announce the birth of their son, Ryan Rayve, born April 5th.  Ryan joins big sister, Paige, and big brother, Nathan.
