George Bauer '63 and Mary Bauer '56 where nominated for the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Genesee Valley chapter, Outstanding Philanthropist award at their 2010 philanthropy awards luncheon earlier this month.
Nelson Beetow '63 and Elaine Beetow '63 are enjoying their retirement, Elaine after 29 years teaching and Nelson after 36 years in teaching/administration.
Russell Martino '65 was inducted into the Medina High School Alumni Hall of Fame on November 12th.
Gary Schenk '69 will be inducted into the New York State High School Soccer Hall of Fame next week. Schenk has been coach of the Naples High School Boys' soccer team for more than 30 years with more than 500 wins.
Dave Shampine '71 will have his third book released in December, The North County Murder of Irene Izak ... Stained By Her Blood. His first two books, Remembering New York's North Country (2009) and Colorful Characters of Northern New York (2010) are compilations of his local history column that have been appearing in the Watertown Daily Times since 1998.
Dave Trembley '73 has been hired by the Atlanta Braves as minor league field coordinator.
Fred Stoss '74 gave a seminar on Climategate for the Environmental Science and Biology Department at The College at Brockport on Monday, November 1st.
Walt Hameline '75 became just the eighth active NCAA Football Championship Series (FCS) head coach to win 200 games. He also is just the 66th coach in NCAA history to reach the 200-win club and the 35th to do so at one school.
William Jones '75 was named the president of MedAmerica Inc., a long-term care insurance company.
Colette Sherry Savage '78 presented a pastel landscape demonstration at the Batavia Society of Artists meeting in GO ART!, Batavia.
Carey Hatch '80 is now the Associate Provost for Library & Information Services at SUNY System Administration. He currently oversees the SUNYConnect Library initiative, the SUNY Learning Network distance learning program and the SUNY Center for Professional Development.
Shows Leary '81 has a company, Shows Leary Project Management, LLC, of Grafton, that was awarded a contract for Construction Project Management services for the Greenfield Fire District's
renovation program at the Porter's Corners Fire Station. The project includes site work, exterior and interior renovations.
Joe Robach '82 won the 56th district state senate seat on November 2, 2010.
William Feldmann '84 has joined PNC Financial Services Group Inc. as a senior vice president of corporate banking.
Barry Brennessel '91 took third place in the 79th Annual Writer's Digest Writing Competition in the Television/Movie Script category for his teleplay, "The Simpsons: She Derided Me With Science."
Peter G. O'Brien '99 was appointed by the Irondequoit Town Board as director of parks and recreation, effective December 20.Kara Reber '01 will be the head coach for the women's lacrosse program at Florida Southern University.
Jodi Oriel '03 was inducted into the MCC Alumni Hall of Fame on November 18. Oriel is currently assistant director in the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development at MCC.
