Alexander Johnson '54 recently published his autobiography, My Life, My Dreams and My Hopes.

1960s

Donna Pogorzala Kopenski '69 retired after 41 years in education from the San Diego Unified School District.  Donna's husband, Rich '68. works from home for CSC and plans to retire in a year-and-a-half.

Janet Leibowitz Picheny '69 recently retired after teaching and being in administration for 40 years, on Long Island and in Massachusetts. She now lives in Boston with her husband, David.  They have two married daughters and one grandson.  Janet now works for a college in Boston supervising both undergraduate and graduate student teachers and loves mentoring first-, second- and third-year teachers in their urban environments.

1980s

Elvera Berry '81, professor of communication and director of the honors program at Roberts Wesleyan College, is the first recipient of Duquesne University's Spiritan Award for Teaching.

Shows Leary '81, owner of Shows Leary Millwork Management, LLC and Shows Leary Project Management, LLC (Grafton, NY), was recently recognized as a retiring member of the Board of Directors for the Architectural Woodwork Institute's Quality Certification Corporation (QCC), located in Potomac Falls, VA.

Tim Dodge '83 had his blog, 'Ask Tim,' named one of the top insurance blogs of 2009 by the LexisNexis Insurance Law Community.

Margaret Sisson '87 is being inducted into the Genesee Community College Athletic Hall of Fame.

Rev. Edward P. Becker '88 was ordained to the Diaconate in the Anglican Church in America at Holy Cross Anglican Church in Webster, NY, and is now serving as clergy in the Independent Anglican Church, Canada Synod at Anglican Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Hamilton, ONT (Canada) and St. George's Anglican Pro-Cathedral in Niagara Falls NY.

Mark Nugent '89 is being inducted into the Pop Warner Hall of Fame in Springville, NY.

1990s

Mike Marra '90 was named as the District 1 Chairman for the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) High School Divisional Committee.

Kenneth Trombley '92 was promoted to Sergeant/Station Commander for the Middletown barracks for the New York State Police.

Richard Nolan '97 graduated from the FBI National Academy, Session 242.

2000s

Christina Laurel '09 has an exhibit of recent work at "A Different Place Gallery" in Brockport from October 8 to November 1.  It is titled "Art with Asian Influence."

Marriages

Heather Verdi '05 and Michael Dobreski '02 exchanged wedding vows on September 4, 2010.

Erika Schuh '08 and Robert Maxwell '08 exchanged wedding vows on July 2, 2010.

Births

Bridget (Strong) Olson '96 and her husband, Scott Olson, welcomed their first child, a little boy, Parker Gerard, on Easter Sunday.

Heather (Wilson) Hedges '99 and Mark Hedges welcomed a daughter, Megan Frances, on May 31, 2010.  Megan joins big sister, Vivien, 18 months.

Melissa (Frieday) Landers '00 and Lloyd Matthew Landers '99 welcomed a son, Benjamin Matthew Landers, on July 12, 2010.  Benjamin joins big sister, Kaitlyn Alyssa, 4 years old.

Heather Wolf-Rochford '02 and Brian Rochford '03 welcomed their first child, a daughter, Margaret Jane, on April 15, 2010.
