Herbert Crandall '53 celebrated 65 years of service to the Bemus Point Fire Department located in Chautauqua County, NY.

Ed Nietopski '57 was inducted into the Brockport High School Wall of Honor on September 9for excellence as both a teacher and coach.

1960s

Carol MacDonald Lodder Schoonmaker '60 had her first book, Around Honeoye Lake: Richmond, Canadice and Honeoye, published in June.

Dick Knab '62 was inducted into the Brockport High School Wall of Honor on September 9for excellence in soccer, basketball, and baseball.

Ray Scharf '61 finished in the top eight in the country in all six swimming events he entered at the Senior Games National Championships in Houston, TX this summer. He is now training for the US Masters National Championships that will be held in Greensboro, NC in April 2012.

Dr. Patricia White '62 served as Superintendent of three school districts for 21 years and is now serving as Associate Dean of the School of Education for Brandman University in Irvine, CA, where she is designing a new doctoral program in Organizational Leadership.

1970s

Nancy Carriuolo '70 was a 2011 Women of Achievement Award winner from the YWCA of Northern Rhode Island. This award is given to women who promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity in their local communities.

Norman Ward '71 retired after more than 40 years with the Chemung Canal Trust Company in Elmira, NY.

Richard Cook '72 has been selected for inclusion in New York Super Lawyers 2011. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers based on peer recognition and professional achievements.

1980s

Joseph Pittman '85 had his crime novel, London Frog, released in paperback. In October his novel, A Christmas Wish, will be published.

Laura Wells-Spicer '88 was appointed as the coordinator of NICHE, Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders, at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.

1990s

Stephen Rosenberg '94 was appointed as assistant principal at Timberwood Middle School in Humble, TX.

Anthony Panipinto '98 was honored as the top New York Wildlife Conservation Officer for 2010 by the Shikar-Safari Club International.

Charles Mitrano '99 received the Prestigious NCAA Bob Fredrick Award, which honors an NCAA coach, administrator or staff member who demonstrates a history of sportsmanship.

2000s

Adam Gerstenhaber '00 moved to Ohio, where he is the afternoon drive host on a new sports talk radio station in Cleveland.

Alison Cresov '04 has been elected president of the National Council of Jewish Women, Greater Rochester Section for the 2011-12 year.

Fortune B.K.A. Tor '04 became a United States citizen at the Naturalization Ceremony held on the Brockport College campus on Friday, September 16.

Julia Decker '08 was selected as the new head coach of the women's lacrosse team at Hilbert College.

Bobby Brooks '09 is the new physical education teacher for the Angel Oak Elementary School in Johns Island, SC.

2010s

Lashawn Clay '11 has accepted a full-time position with AIDS Care in Rochester.

Marriages

Rachel Joan Millspaugh '08 and Adam Matthew Tabelski tied the knot on July 9, 2011.

Births

Jaime VanDeMortal Richardson '98 and her husband Andrew Richardson welcomed their third daughter, Rylee, on April 9, 2011. She was welcomed home by big sisters, Morgan and Taylor.

Nancy Kastan '96 and her husband Charles Kastan welcomed the birth of their son Chase Matthew Kastan on June 3, 2011.

Adam D.J. Huck '05 and Michelle Morgan Huck '07 celebrated the arrival of their son Connor Morgan Huck on August 11, 2011.
