George '54 & Rosa LaSorte Rich
Many have joked that among the students, George and Rosie are the most recognizable couple on campus. You cannot go to a sporting event, fine arts performance or lecture without seeing them. They may even be seen auditing a class. George, a retired teacher, is the immediate Past President of the Brockport Alumni Association, having served as President for the longest tenure in the organization’s 110-year history. Rosie, a revered former faculty member, has written a book, serves on multiple College committees, and keeps numerous alumni and emeriti groups together through her social and organizational networks. Their generosity also is unsurpassed, with support for athletics, the arts, Alumni House and student projects at the top of their list. The students of Brockport are their children, and everyone knows it. For all of this, we welcome them into the Marguerite Hare Browne Society.
