Betsy Balzano
There are faculty and staff who are synonymous with giving to the College. Betsy Balzano could be the poster child for giving to a variety of causes within the education program — where she is a pillar of strength — and several other areas of excellence. From the Extraordinary Scholarship Fund to the Distinguished Professors Fund for Graduate Education, to the Reading Educator Emeriti Award, to the Marguerite Hare Browne Professional Education Awards, to the School of Professions Fund and to so many more, she gives often and significantly. In all, she has made gifts to 29 different funds at the College. We thank her for everything she has done and continues to do for our institution and for all of her extraordinary work to take SUNY Brockport to the Rochester City School District and beyond. Her imprint on our community is enormous.
