George '63 & Mary '56 Bauer
We are so pleased to have the opportunity to honor one of our most beloved, loyal and generous alumni couples. George and Mary Bauer are a couple committed to children. They have six of their own, plus 16 grandchildren, and thousands of others who they taught and nurtured through a lifetime dedicated to education. There are few people in the world who have hearts as large as George and Mary. In 1996, they established an endowed scholarship that benefits married students interested in pursuing a degree in teacher certification. Over the past 10 years, the fund has grown substantially through their great generosity, and continues to support students within this mission. We are very grateful for all that George and Mary continue to do for their alma mater and for all of the activities and events they are able to support around their incredibly busy family schedules. We are pleased to welcome George and Mary Bauer into the Robert E. O’Brien Society.
