Earl & Mary '61 Ingersoll
Earl and Mary Ingersoll have been associated with the College for more than 45 years. Mary holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the College, while Earl earned the titles of Distinguished Professor and Distinguished Teaching Professor over a nearly 40-year career in the Department of English. In 1999, the Ingersoll’s finalized plans to establish the Ingersoll Family Endowment, including the Rose and Earl Ingersoll Scholarship. The scholarship memorializes Earl’s parents, whose education ended before high school and who realized their own development had been reduced by their inability to continue their own education. We cannot begin to thank this wonderful couple for their thoughtful and generous contributions in support of the College, the Foundation and the students of Brockport — both current and future. We welcome Earl and Mary Ingersoll into the Robert E. O’Brien Society.
