GOLD Leadership Board

The GOLD Leadership Board is essential to the success of the GOLD Program. This board is essential to building a culture of connectedness and philanthropy among Brockport's Graduates of the Last Decade. The board's purpose is to create programs and services that foster the group's four goals:

Increase number of GOLD volunteers.
Build a culture of philanthropy.
Increase participation in regional and on-campus events.
Enhance career and social networking.

	My name is Karen Webber '09/'10. I encourage you to stop and think for a minute about where you are right now, and how you got there. Chances are that your education at the College at Brockport played a role. Maybe you participated in a recruiting program here. Maybe you met your best friend here, or even your spouse. Wouldn't you like to give current and future students the same opportunities? Brockport has given each of us so much, now it's our turn to give back through becoming active alumni. That's why I chose to serve as the co-chair of the GOLD Leadership Board. I hope you choose to be involved in the group too. I hope to see you at a future GOLD alumni event!
	My name is Kevin Bates '10. Four of the best years of my life were spent in Brockport. Day after day, I took advantage of the incredible opportunities for personal, intellectual and professional development afforded to my peers and me by the College. Yet, it was only after graduation that I began to reflect on what resources Brockport relied to achieve their mission of holistic student growth and success. Funding from the State of New York? Engaged and engaging staff and faculty members? Sure, both of these help support the student-centered mission of Brockport. What I've learned since entering the world of higher education as a professional, however, is that the single most important factor in ensuring that Brockport continues to provide an unparalleled student experience is the support of active alumni like you and me.
