Current Research Projects
I am involved in several multi-national projects where I have implemented botanical sampling and collection regimes in order to analyze the floral assemblage with respect to a model I have developed that investigates core/periphery relations in a regional context of complex societies through different periods of occupation. Some of the major projects I am working on include Caesarea Maritima (Israel), Petra (Jordan), Bir Madhkur (Jordan), Roman Aqaba (Jordan), Humayma (Jordan) and The Excavations at Kaucana (Sicily). I have also participated in or worked on the botanical material from Cana of the Galilee, Yotvata and the Shivta, Israel; the excavations at Horace's Villa and the Nordic excavations at Nemi, Julius Caesar's Villa, Italy.
