Hands-On Opportunities

Motivated students can access a range of opportunities to hone their research and communications skills, nurture their cross-cultural awareness, and explore the discipline as a potential career.

Archaeological Fieldschool in Jordan
- This summer, Dr. Ramsay will be holding an archaeological field school in Petra, Jordan. The application deadline has passed. Check out student comments and pictures from last summer's fieldschool here!
Archaeological Fieldschool in New York
- Dr. Ramsay in collaboration with Beth Ryan will be hosting a fieldschool at the Donnan site in Pifford, NY. Applications are still being accepted!
Internships
- Department faculty work closely with students on research projects of mutual interest for internship or independent study credit.
Ethnographic Research
- Both in and outside the classroom, our majors are putting their "book" skills into practice.
Scholars Day
- Every year Anthropology majors and minors present original works of analysis or research at this annual event.
