Commissioning Ceremony
Commissioning Class of 2008
The Commissioning ceremony is the culmination of all of the Cadets' training in Army ROTC. This event is a celebration of the future careers on which these newly appointed Officers will embark and a time to look back on what they have accomplished in the years they have participated in Army ROTC. The event usually takes place after Commencement, and consists of a short speech from a distinguished guest; the pinning of the Commissionee's Lieutenant's rank on by Cadets loved ones, and finally the new Lieutenants first salute from an enlisted Soldier who has influenced the Lieutenants in their career in Army ROTC, or as an enlisted Soldier.
