- Two major-length exhibition reviews appear in Afterimage: The Journal of Media Arts and Culture Criticism: “The Sisyphean Task of Art: Spencer Finch at Mass MOCA” in Sept./Oct. 2007. “Antidote to Dystopia: Brave New World at the Walker Art Center” in Jan/Feb 2008.
- Introductory essay for the second volume of Moomin was reprised with minor revisions:Moomin: The Complete Tove Jansson Comic Strip - Book Two, Drawn and Quarterly; Reprint edition.
- “My Body, My Resource: Empowering the Essential in Contemporary Comics and Graphic Novels” , presentation at the 20th Annual Feminist & Women’s Studies Association Conference (of the UK and Ireland) annual conference.
- Presented “Sagan’s Sybarites Adapted” as part of the Chick Lit: Women’s Writing on Screen session at the Association of Literature on Screen annual conference in Atlanta, Georgia.
- Organized and chaired a panel titled The Architectonics of Costume, at the annual international Society for Cinema and Media Studies conference in Philadelphia, PA.
