Marissa Ballaro, double major Arts for Children and Dance, was selected for the top scholar honor by the department of dance and was later chosen for the 2006 Outstanding Student Award given by the School of Arts and Performance. Marissa has served as Assistant to the Artistic Director of the New York State Summer School of the Arts School of Dance in Saratoga Springs and has been instrumental in bringing revolutionary dance etudes to the repertory of young dancers here at SUNY Brockport. In other news, Kelly Marshall (theatre specialty) is an intern for the spring semester at Geva Theatre Centre in Rochester. Of course, many students are student teaching in area schools. |
| Brodie Halladay (dance) is performing at Disney World (Brodie is Winnie the Pooh). We send our special regards to students studying overseas: Leah Fox (dance) is in London and Anne Hagan (theatre) is at the University of Sydney, Australia. Our students continue to gain hands-on experience through community service and research in the Greater Rochester area. |
