We welcome a new associate faculty member this year, Annie Heckel, a doctoral
student at the University of Rochester, who is teaching our “Looking at Performance” class. Ms. Heckel also received her MA from the University of Rochester; and her BA from the College of William and Mary, where she was a double major in English literature and music performance.
Finally, the Department of Theatre is delighted to welcome
Dr. Natalie Sarrazin to the music faculty. Dr. Sarrazin received her PhD in ethnomusiciology from the University of Maryland, College Park, and her master's of music education from the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University. She also has two bachelor’s degrees from Hartt School of Music.
Dr. Sarrazin’s regional specialty is the music of South Asia. She has recently been teaching music at the International School of Monterey, and was a Fellow at the Asian Religion and Cultures Department at Stanford University.
