Meredith Schwab '06, was the Milton Avery Fellowship Intern at the University Art Museum in Albany in Summer 2006.

Meredith worked directly with curator Corinna Ripps Schaming on the research and organization for the upcoming exhibition Mr. President at the UAM in Albany.

 

 

 

 Phil Hendrickson '04 is an MFA candidate at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He anticipates graduating in spring 2007. His work centers around creating mixed-media screenprints and collages.

According to Hendrickson, his artwork explores the nature of the human psyche and the irrational yet lyrical ways in which the mind stores and recalls meaning.

 

 

 

 

 Abbey Hendrickson '04 (yes, Phil's wife) works at The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art (left) as the public arts program educator. She helps run the art studio at the Museum which allows gallery visitors to try their hand at making art and taking it home with them.

 

 

Katie O'Donnell '03 has had a work accepted into the regional juried exhibition Craft Art Western New York 2006.

This exhibition is the Burchfield-Penney's Art Center's 10th biennial show devoted to the celebration of works in clay, fiber, glass, metal and wood.

 

 

 Terresa Ford BFA'91 has a new collection of paintings and drawings encompassing the spiritual themes of compassion, foregiveness and charity as reflected in Christianity, Islam and Judaism. Her work focuses on the commonalities in all three religions. Compassion will exhibit at the Graham Center Art Gallery in Miami, FL (February 2007), and the Broward County Library in Fort Lauderdale, FL (April 2007).

 

Alumnus Richard Jenks '94, had his work accepted into the
Brush Strokes & Land Marks: Contemporary Landscape Painting exhibit
held April - June 2006 at the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center in Auburn, NY.

 

  Two of Jennifer Hecker's sculpture students from Spring 2006, Megan Hulse and Michal Williams, have had their work accepted in The Chair as Art show sponsored by the Arts Council for Wyoming County.

Artists were asked to design and create chairs - either functional or whimsical.
