Matt Avery (Rochester, NY/Gates-Chili) of men’s cross country team is this week’s male athlete of the week.
The junior took third place out of 58 runners in the Brockport Invitational on Saturday September 12th. Avery finished with a time of 15:54 over the five-kilometer course. He shaved 33 seconds off his time from last year, when he finished in ninth place.
