Junior goalie Joe Marino (Rochester, NY/McQuaid) led the men’s soccer team to a 2-0-0 week and has been named the male athlete of the week.
Marino tied his season-high of nine saves against New Paltz and eight saves against Oneonta to notch his third and fourth shutout of the season. Brockport extended its shutout streak to three games and has not allowed a goal in 280 minutes of action.
The win over Oneonta was the first for the Golden Eagles since 1983, snapping a 26-year streak.
Brockport is tied for first in the conference standings with a record of 3-1-0.
