Sophomore Max Zimmerman (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville North) hit two home runs and senior Todd Allen (Oriskany, NY/Oriskany) was 4-for-5 with five runs scored and three runs batted in to lead The College at Brockport Baseball team a doubleheader sweep of Hamilton College Sunday in a non-conference matchup in Clinton, NY. Brockport won game one 16-4 in six innings due to a non-conference run rule and followed that up with a 10-3 victory in the nightcap.

Brockport (16-16) finished with seven home runs on the day as Zimmerman hit two while Allen, Kris Gentzke (Clarence, NY/Clarence), Mike Goldstein (Slingerlands, NY/Guilderland), Matt Raines (Falconer, NY/Falconer) and Jim Gaudet (Albany, NY/Christian Brothers) all connected on home runs for the Golden Eagles.

In game one, Gaudet hit his homer – a solo shot - in a six-run second inning while Gentzke connected on a two-run homer later in the same inning. Zimmerman hit a two-out, two-run homer in the third inning and Raines connected on a pinch-hit solo home run to lead off the fifth inning for the Golden Eagles.

In game two, Allen and Zimmerman hit back-to-back home runs in the first inning. Allen hit a two-run homer with one out and Zimmerman followed with a home run to right centerfield. Goldstein capped the home run barrage with a one-out solo homer in the fifth inning.

Brockport hammered out 15 hits in game one and followed that up with 13 hits in the nightcap. Jamie Rose (Hornell, NY/Hornell) and Jason Michaels (Geneva, NY/Geneva) finished with three hits each for Brockport. Zimmerman finished the day 5-for-7 with five runs scored and six runs batted in.
