The St. John Fisher Baseball team scored seven runs in a span of two innings and went on to post a 10-1 victory over The College at Brockport in a non-league game Wednesday at Clark V. Whited Complex in Brockport.

The Cardinals (16-12) scored in the top of the first inning but Brockport (17-17) scored in the bottom of the inning to tie the game. Jason Michaels (Geneva, NY/Geneva) was hit by a pitch and advanced to third after Todd Allen (Oriskany, NY/Oriskany) singled. Max Zimmerman (East Aurora, NY/Williamsville North) grounded out to first base but Michaels scored on the play to knot the game at 1-1.

The game stayed tied until the fifth when St. John Fisher scored four times with the help of two Brockport fielding errors and three doubles. In the sixth, the Cardinals added three more runs with two more doubles and another fielding error by the Golden Eagles.

St. John Fisher added single runs in both the seventh and eighth innings on solo home runs.

Six different batters had one hit each for the Golden Eagles as Allen, Zimmerman, Kris Gentzke (Clarence, NY/Clarence), Mike Meola (Liverpool, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse), Jamie Rose (Hornell, NY/Hornell) and Mike Goldstein (Slingerlands, NY/Guilderland) each had one base hit for Brockport.
