Baseball Suffers Setback in Regular Season Finale
Golden Eagles drop 5-3 contest with Hilbert

The Hilbert Baseball team scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to break a 2-2 tie and held on for a 5-3 victory over The College at Brockport.

The Golden Eagles (19-19) would score an unearned run in the top of first to make the game 1-0. Nate Parrino (Brockport, NY/Brockport) later doubled in a run to push the lead to 2-0.

Hilbert (10-28) would then answer back with a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth to knot the game at 2-2.

The game would remain tied until Hilbert scored three times in the eighth with the help of three Brockport walks, a pair of hits and a fielding error.

Steve Locke (Oxford, NY/Oxford) started the game on the mound and pitched five shutout innings in taking a no-decision.
