Senior Jason Michaels (Geneva, NY/Geneva) had three hits and junior Joe Zaccardo (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) had two hits and two runs scored to lead The College at Brockport Baseball team to a 5-4 victory over Cazenovia College Saturday on the second day of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament at SUNY Fredonia. With the victory, Brockport advances to play SUNY Fredonia at 9 am Sunday. The winner of the Brockport/Fredonia contest will have to defeat St. John Fisher College twice Sunday afternoon to capture the ECAC title.

Against Cazenovia, Brockport (22-22) took a 1-0 lead in the third inning but fell behind as Cazenovia (22-17) scored twice in the top of the fourth inning. The Golden Eagles regained the lead in the bottom of the fourth, rallying for three runs. Kris Gentzke (Clarence, NY/Clarence) led off the inning with a double and came home when Jamie Rose (Hornell, NY/Hornell) singled. Two batters later, Zaccardo doubled to score Rose. Zaccardo later scored on a wild pitch to give the Golden Eagles a 4-2 lead.
