Senior Todd Allen Named All-Region
Jason Shannon earns Gold Glove Award from Coaches Association

Senior Todd Allen (Oriskany, NY/Oriskany) has been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Region team as a second-team selection in the New York Region. Fellow senior Jason Shannon (North Syracuse, NY/Liverpool) was selected as a winner of the ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award for the New York Region as a pitcher. The awards were announced by the association May 19, 2009.

Allen led The College at Brockport Baseball team to a 23-23 record and a second place finish in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Tournament as well as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Upstate New York Tournament. Allen finished with a .329 batting average with 52 hits and a team-best eight home runs. His .570 slugging average and 25 walks were also team-best statistics for regular starters.

Shannon finished his four-year career at Brockport tying the school record for career wins with 18. He is second on the career record list for innings pitched and threw a school record 80 innings in 2009. He finished fourth on the career list for strikeouts (119) and tied for second on the school records list with 66 strikeouts in 2009.
