Amanda Pickard Named Third-Team All-American
Senior earns Brockport's first-ever All-America award in Field Hockey November 25, 2008
 Amanda Pickard and head coach Andi Zurlo pose for a photo at the Senior All-Star Game Amanda Pickard (Depew, NY/Lancaster) was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA)All-America Third Team as announced on November 24th. She was also selected as a First-Team All-Region honoree by the NFHCA as well as a First-Team Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) selection along with the Rochester Area College Athlete (RACA) Fall Athlete of the Year.
Earlier this fall, the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) voted her the Player of the Year for the second consecutive year.
The senior was also previously selected to participate in the 2008 NFHCA Division III Senior All-Star Game at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. At the game, she was elected as co-captain of her team.
Pickard led the Golden Eagles by setting school records with 16 goals and 40 points on the season. She added eight assists, tying the same single-season school record that she set a year ago.
