Field Hockey Falls to Ithaca in Home Opener

 Kasey Schreiner makes a diving stop in the 3-0 loss to Ithaca(credit: Michael Pratt (MLPhoto)) Freshman goalie Kasey Schreiner (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) made five saves but allowed three goals as The College at Brockport Field Hockey team opened the home portion of its schedule with a 3-0 loss to Ithaca College Wednesday afternoon in Brockport.
Ithaca (2-1) scored twice in the first half with a pair of goals within an eight-minute span midway through the half. The Bombers added their third goal midway through the second half for the final margin.
Brockport (1-2) managed 15 shots in the game but just three were recorded as shots on goal while Ithaca fired 18 shots with 12 landing on goal. Ithaca held a slight 9-7 advantage in penalty corners for the contest.
Jessica LoBue (Farmingville, NY/Sachem East) and Allyson Granish (Binghamton, NY/Harpursville) contributed three shots each to lead the Brockport attack.
