Jackie Massoni (Bay Shore, NY/Bay Shore) snapped a scoreless streak for The College at Brockport field hockey team Tuesday afternoon in a 3-1 loss to Nazareth College.

Brockport (2-7 overall, 1-2 SUNYAC) had been shut out in six straight games and had not scored in over 482 minutes since scoring in the second half of a 2-1 victory over Western New England College on September 6.

Trailing 1-0, Massoni took a penalty corner for the Golden Eagles and collected a pass from Alaina Demeree (Little Falls) and netted the equalizer into the right side of the cage at 16:38.

Nazareth scored their first goal at 10:56 when Cailtyn Angelidis (Rochester, NY/Irondequoit) shot the ball to the lower left corner of the cage past Brockport keeper Kasey Schreiner (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg).

The score remained 1-1 until the final ten seconds of the first half when Nazareth tallied the go-ahead goal into the lower right corner.

In the 40th minute Kelly Flanagan (Fairport, NY/Fairport) found Lindsey Smith, who completed the scoring for the Golden Flyers.

Schreiner allowed all three goals for Brockport and made five saves in 41:15 minutes of action. Jen Allen (North Tonawanda, NY/Wilson) played the final 28:45 and posted seven saves.
