Senior Allyson Granish (Binghamton, NY/Harpursville) scored seven minutes into the contest to give The College at Brockport Field Hockey team a 1-0 lead over SUNY Oswego in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) game Friday in Brockport. Oswego tied the game 13 minutes later and the score remained tied for the rest of the first half and the entire second half, forcing overtime. Just 43 seconds into the first overtime period, the Lakers scored the game-winner for a 2-1 victory.

Brockport (2-8 overall, 1-3 SUNYAC) started the overtime with possession but turned the ball over near midfield. Oswego (3-5, 1-1) moved quickly down the field, where Brittany Roetzer fired a hard shot and Brockport goalie Jen Allen (North Tonawanda, NY/Wilson) made a kick save, deflecting the ball out of bounds. On the resumption of play, Oswego sent the ball into the goal mouth where Roetzer fired a shot into the back of the cage.

Allen finished with nine saves for the Golden Eagles.
