Gymnastics Drops Dual against Cornell

Freshman Kaitlin Dewey (Saratoga, NY/Saratoga Springs) scored a 9.75 on her floor exercise routine and posted a 37.325 score in the all-around competition to place second in both events as The College at Brockport Gymnastics team dropped a dual with NCAA Division I Cornell University by a score of 190.825-184.675 Saturday afternoon at Cornell University in Ithaca.

Junior Lauren Gildemeyer (Baldwinsville, NY/CW Baker) finished second in the vault with a 9.675 and helped the team post season-high scores in both the vault and uneven bars. The Golden Eagles scored 47.225 in the vault and 45.825 on the bars.

Junior Christina Baggetta (Latham, NY/Shaker) had the best Brockport score on the bars with a 9.45 and also posted a 9.475 on the floor. Senior Nikki Visnick (Natick, MA/Natick) had the team’s high score on the balance beam as she earned a 9.225 while Dewey lead the Golden Eagles on the floor with her 9.75. Gildemeyer had the high score on the vault with a 9.675.
