Trio of Indoor Track & Field Athletes Earn Weekly Honors

Dom Gonzalez (Monroe,NY/Monroe-Woodbury), Melissa Scorse (Pittsford,NY/Pittsford-Mendon) and Shannon O’Keeffe (Boston, NY/Springville Griffith)each were selected as State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Track & Field Athletes of the Week.

In men's field, Gonzalez garnered the weekly honor after finishing in first place in the weight throw with an NCAA provisional qualifying distance of 16.64 meters at the Colgate Class of 1932 Invitational.

In women's track, Scorse claimed the award for the second week in a row after breaking the school record in the 60-meter dash with an NCAA provisional time of 7.82 seconds, which was good enough for second place in that event at the Colgate Invitational.

In women's field, O'Keeffe earns the conference honors after finishing in second place in the triple jump at the Colgate Invitational with an NCAA provisional-qualifying jump of 11.27 meters. She also took third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.56 seconds, finishing behind only a pair of Division I hurdlers.
