Melissa Scorse Sets another School Record at Syracuse
Sophomore breaks the school record in the 200-meter dash February 7, 2009
 Melissa Scorse sets a new school record in teh 200-meter dash(credit: Mark Krueger) Sophomore Melissa Scorse (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford-Mendon) ran a :26.65 in the 200-meter dash to establish a new school record, breaking the old mark set in 2006 by Nicole Mattis by nearly a quarter-second, as The College at Brockport Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field teams competed in the non-scoring Syracuse University Invitational meet Saturday in Syracuse.
Scorse finished third in the race as she trailed only a pair of Division I sprinters from Colgate University.
Senior Dom Gonzalez (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) was the first-place finisher in the weight throw with a heave of 15.93 meters as he finished six inches ahead of two Division I throwers from Binghamton and Syracuse.
The 4x400 relay of Jeff Suhr (Farmington, NY/Victor), Cameron Johnson (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda), Steve Reiss (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) and Rusty Landon (Ithaca, NY/Lansing) finished second, and Suhr also took fifth in the 200-meter dash.
Foe the women, Bridget Mayne (Schoharie, NY/Schoharie) and Stacey Gibbons (Eden, NY/Eden) took second and third in the weight throw while Randi DeBoy (Salamanca, NY/Salamanca) was third in the 400-meter dash.
