Sophomore Melissa Scorse (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford-Mendon) and senior Shannon O’Keeffe (Boston, NY/Springville-Griffith) were named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Athletes of the Week for women’s track and women’s field, respectively, for the week ending February 15.

In women's track, Scorse takes the honor for the third time in a span of four weeks after breaking her own school record in the 55-meter dash at the Boston University Valentine Invitational with a time of 7.25 seconds in the prelims. Scorse ran a 7.33 in the finals and finished 10th in the event. She was the lone Division III sprinter in the 15-participant finals.

In women's field, O'Keeffe also claimed the award for the third time this season after capturing the triple jump at the Cornell Kane Invitational with an NCAA provisional-qualifying distance of 11.49 meters. She also finished third in the long jump with a leap of distance of 5.28 meters. O’Keeffe is the defending National Champion in the triple jump and currently has the eighth-best jump in the country with her 11.49-meter effort at Cornell.
