SUNY Oswego scored 22 of the first 25 points to build an early lead and defeated The College at Brockport Men’s Basketball team by a 85-59 score Tuesday night in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) game at Max Ziel Gymnasium in Oswego.

Brockport (4-9 overall, 0-4 SUNYAC) scored on a layup by senior Joe Clarke (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) 1:25 into the game for a 4-3 Oswego (9-5, 5-2) lead but the Lakers scored the next 21 straight points over a six-minute span to take a commanding 25-3 lead and held a 42-20 advantage at the halftime intermission.

In the second half, Oswego opened with a 12-0 run to extend its lead to 34 points at 54-20 and cruised to the victory.

Senior Eamon Kays (Mexico, NY/Mexico) was the only Golden Eagles starter to score in double digit as he scored 11. Freshman Gerald Williams (Rochester, NY/Charlotte) scored a career-high 11 to help lead Brockport. Kays also grabbed a team-leading 10 rebounds. Brockport shot 25 percent from the field in the first half and finished the game with a 37% shooting percentage.
