Sophomore Matt Andon-McLane (Syracuse, NY/Nottingham) scored four goals and added two assists while Adam Drypolcher (Manlius, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius) notched a pair of goals and four assists to lead The College at Brockport Men’s Lacrosse team to a 12-4 victory over SUNY Morrisville Wednesday night in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) game played at Brighton High School in Brighton.

Brockport (4-3 overall, 2-0 SUNYAC) moved into a first-place tie with SUNY Oswego and SUNY Geneseo at the top of the SUNYAC standings with its third consecutive victory.

The Golden Eagles broke open a close game in the second quarter after each team scored twice in the opening stanza. In the second quarter, Andon-McLane scored 1:07 into the period to give Brockport a 3-2 lead and sparked a 9-0 scoring run. Andon-McLane scored three times in the streak and Drypolcher added both of his goals as the Golden Eagles built an 11-2 advantage. Morrisville (4-5, 0-2) scored twice in the fourth quarter before freshman Nate Thomas (Cortland, NY/Cortland) scored his first career goal for the final margin.

Mike Tammaro (Painted Post, NY/Corning West) scored twice and added two assists while Brian Loeffler (Islip, NY/Islip), Joe Gomez (Amherst, NY/Amherst) and Brad Olzinski (Johnson City, NY/Union-Endicott) each scored single goals. Thomas also had an assist for Brockport.

Sophomore faceoff specialist Kyle Burton (Buffalo, NY/Amherst) won 11-of-16 face-offs and senior goalie Garret Allwes (Amherst, NY/Amherst) made 12 saves for the Golden Eagles.
