Sophomore Mike Tammaro (Painted Post, NY/Corning West) scored a pair of fourth-quarter goals but SUNY Geneseo built an 11-1 halftime lead and defeated The College at Brockport Men's Lacrosse team by an 18-6 score Wednesday afternoon in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) game in Geneseo.

Geneseo (9-1 overall, 4-0 SUNYAC), ranked #18 in the latest national poll, scored the first four goals of the game and held a 6-1 lead at the end of the first quarter before outscoring Brockport (4-5, 2-2) 5-0 in the second quarter to establish the 11-1 halftime advantage.

In the second half, the Golden Eagles scored twice including the first goal of the third quarter as Matt Andon-McLane (Syracuse, NY/Nottingham) netted his team-leading 21st goal of the year. Brockport outscored Geneseo 3-1 in the fourth quarter for the final 18-6 score.

Tammaro led the Golden Eagles with two goals while Andon-McLane chipped in a goal and an assist. Freshman Nate Thomas (Cortland, NY/Cortland) handed out two assists while Justin Tierney (Baldwinsville, NY/CW Baker), Brian Loeffler (Islip, NY/Islip) and Erich Skelly (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) each scored a goal.
