Men�s Soccer Shuts Out Nazareth College

Seniors Brad Lefort (Chittenango, NY/Chittenango) and Steve Abgarian (Merrick, NY/Bellmore-JFK) each scored second-half goals to lead The College at Brockport Men�s Soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Nazareth College on the first day of competition in the Doug May Memorial Tournament Saturday at Nazareth College.

Brockport (2-0) will play RIT Sunday on day two of the tournament.

After a scoreless first half, Lefort took a pass from Christian Tychostup (Mayfield, NY/Mayfield) and netted his first goal of the season with 2:14 elapsed into the second half. Nine minutes later, Abgarian notched his sixth goal of the season, converting a penalty kick to give Brockport a 2-0 lead.

Brockport goalie Joe Marino (Rochester, NY/McQuaid) made six saves to record his second consecutive shutout for the Golden Eagles.
