The College at Brockport Men’s Soccer team battled to a 0-0 double overtime tie against Farmingdale State Saturday afternoon in Farmingdale.

Sophomore Rob Ryan (Centereach, NY/Centereach) made four saves in net to earn his first collegiate shutout.

Brockport (2-1-2) held a slim 17-15 shot advantage as Brian Duffy (Hilton, NY/Hilton) and Steve Abgarian (Merrick, NY/Bellmore-JFK) each registered three shots for the Golden Eagles.

Brockport’s best opportunity in the first half came in the 12th minute when Christian Tychostup (Mayfield, NY/Mayfield) took a corner and found Duffy for a header which was saved by the Rams.

In the second half, Brockport had an opportunity by Ben Grimsley (Mattydale, NY/Cicero-N.Syracuse) at 68:51 off a corner kick blocked by Farmingdale State to keep the game scoreless. In the 79th minute Brad LeFort (Chittenango, NY/Chittenango) had a header blocked by a Rams defender.
