Men’s Soccer Falls on the Road to St. John Fisher
Golden Eagles drop a 1-0 decision against the Cardinals September 22, 2009
 Joe Marino made four saves for Brockport against St. John Fisher(credit: Michael Pratt, MLPhoto) The College at Brockport Men’s Soccer team suffered its second loss in the last three games and was held scoreless for the third straight game as St. John Fisher College handed Brockport a 1-0 loss Tuesday night in a non-conference game in Pittsford.
St. John Fisher (3-3-1) scored in the first 10 minutes of the contest and the teams played an even match for the final 80 minutes of action. Each team fired 12 shots with Brockport (2-2-2) managing five shots on goal in the second half.
Joe Marino (Rochester, NY/McQuaid) stopped four shots for the Golden Eagles who have not scored in the past 316:30 of action. Brockport’s last goal was late in the second half of a 1-1 tie with RIT on September 6.
The Golden Eagles open the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) schedule at home at 4 pm Friday facing SUNY Plattsburgh.
