Senior Brad Lefort (Chittenango, NY/Chittenango) scored his second goal of the season 15 minutes into the second half as he headed in a ball off a crossing pass from freshman Adam Rowell (Syracuse, NY/East Syracuse-Minoa) to lead The College at Brockport Men’s Soccer team to a 1-0 victory over SUNY Potsdam and snap a five-game winless streak for the Golden Eagles Saturday in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) game on A. Huntley Parker Jr. Field in Brockport.

Brockport (3-3-2 overall, 1-1 SUNYAC) had not posted a win since a 2-0 victory over Nazareth College on September 5 in the second game of the season. The Golden Eagles were 0-3-2 during the stretch.

After a scoreless first half, Lefort redirected a long crossing pass from deep in the corner with a header into the side of the goal from his position at the far post.

Brockport held the lead the rest of the way with strong defensive play and a shutout effort by sophomore Kyle Sauln (Rush, NY/Rush-Henrietta) who finished with three saves.
